Summer Meals

Free Summer Meals (Click to Register Early)

PCS is pleased to provide 4 days worth of meals on Monday's and 3 days worth of meals on Friday's. The kits include breakfast and lunch and will be picked up at Blair Pointe Elementary School.

Details: Pick up days will be Monday's and Fridays starting on June 12th until July 31st from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at Blair Pointe Elementary Door #7.

Please note your child may ONLY consume meals from one site and cannot get meals from multiple sites. This means if your child is consuming meals at Elmwood Primary Learning Center, the Peru Junior Senior High School, St. John's Church, or the YMCA, they will not be eligible for the multi-day meal pick up at Blair Pointe Elementary.

Children 18 years of age and younger and children over the age of 19 with a disability and still enrolled in school are eligible to participate. To ensure compliance with USDA regulations and to maintain program integrity, a registration form must be completed for each child, in order to pick up meal kits.

PCS Announces Community Partnership with Dreams to Reality Cakes

Peru Community Schools is excited to announce another strategic partnership that brings additional value to the community and district while making use of existing space.
The district has entered into an agreement with Mrs. Sandra Tossou, owner of Dreams to Reality Cakes, to lease the kitchen located in the former Peru Junior High on Daniel Street. This space, which has been largely unused, will now serve as a working kitchen for Dreams to Reality’s business operations.
This is not a retail location and there will be no storefront or customer traffic at the site. Instead, the kitchen will be used strictly for baking and production, putting unused space to work and providing commercial kitchen space to this well-established bakery.
This partnership will also offer our students access to workforce readiness skills while creating an additional revenue stream for the district.
“We are always looking for opportunities to support our community and be good stewards of our facilities,” Superintendent Trent McCormick shared. “This is a win for our students, our district, and a win for a local entrepreneur.”

Peru Community Schools Appoints New Board Member

Peru Community Schools has selected Riley Conner to fill the vacant board seat following the resignation of Dr. Gregory Quin earlier this month.
The Board of School Trustees voted 6-0 to approve the appointment during its April 20 meeting, following a thorough review process. The vacancy, representing Erie Township, drew several strong candidates. Board members carefully reviewed applications and engaged in thoughtful discussion before making their final decision.
Mr. Conner is a lifelong resident of Miami County and brings a professional background in information technology. He also has experience working with school districts, including Logansport and Maconaquah, providing him with a solid understanding of educational systems and operations.
“I am committed to supporting both student success and the educators who serve them. Serving on the board [will] allow me to once again contribute meaningfully to education and the long-term success of our community,” said Mr. Conner. Peru Community Schools looks forward to Mr. Conner’s service and contributions as the district continues its work on behalf of students, staff, and the community.
