This year's Scholastics Art Competition had over 3,400 total submissions entered into this year’s show across both Art and Writing categories. Out of those, only 1,200 awards were presented — 600 for Art and 600 for Writing.
Of the 600 Art awards:
- 300 were Honorable Mentions
- 175 were Silver Keys (2nd Place)
- 125 were Gold Keys (1st Place)
Peru had an outstanding showing, earning 47 total awards:
- 17 Honorable Mentions
- 11 Silver Keys
- 19 Gold Keys
All Gold Key winners will now advance to New York for the National competition, with national winners announced on March 24.
In addition, Rylee Bowman received the prestigious “Judges Choice” special award — a tremendous honor!
