Work Based Learning

The out-of-school intern program places students in our community in non-paid internships.  The goal is that the students intern in a career area they are interested in pursuing upon completion of high school.  Most of these careers will require some type of post secondary work.  While interning the emphasis of the experience is for the students to explore the career and learn applied skills while learning new career competencies at the internship site.  Below is the tenative syllabus and coursework the student must complete during a 12-week trimester. It is subject to change at teacher choice.
