Peru Community Schools & the PCS Police Department would like to recognize and thank the Miami County Prosecutor, Jeff Sinkovics, for his generosity in purchasing equipment for the Police Department. When some equipment became a safety concern for students, staff, and officers recently, Prosecutor Sinkovics immediately agreed to purchase the necessary equipment for the PCS Police Department and its officers to keep our students safe.
PCS School Board and Board President Tommie Beattie were recognized yesterday in Indianapolis by the Exemplary Governance Awards for their outstanding commitment to the community.
Terry Wray, PCS Maintenance Department, was recognized Wednesday at Blair Pointe for his years of service. Wray worked part time from 2010-2014 and when he retired from the Peru Fire Department, he came on full-time.
Wray said the thought of retirement is all new to him, but he is looking forward to the the peace and quiet the most.
His favorite part of the day and what he will miss the most is seeing the staff and students every day.
PCS is going to miss Wray, and wish him nothing but the best in his retirement.
